 5s means 5 words or 5 systematic rules

These words are derived from Japanese words 

 SEIRI – SORT- ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ

SEITON - SET IN ORDER- ಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂದಿಸಿ

SEISO – SHINE- ಹೊಳಪಿಸು

SEIKETSU - STANDARDIZE - ಪ್ರಮಾಣೀಕರಿಸಿ

 SHITSUKE – SUSTAIN-  ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ

When 5s came into existence?

 5s techniques was first introduced & started implemented in Japan 1920-1924 in shop floors of  Toyota.

Why 5s is needed?

5s techniques will help us to organize things systematically.

To keep our premises clean & orderly 5s is needed .     

Who can do 5s ?

5s can be done by anyone from shop floor worker to MD of the company.

To keep our things properly & orderly everyone have to fallow 5S.

How 5s can be implemented ? 

5 s can be implemented trough its sequence processes  & regularly fallowing 5S rules

 Sort : sort the things (wanted & unwanted) scrap or keep aside unwanted things.

 Set in order : set on order wanted things

 Shine: clean your premises

 Standardize: make the rules to fallow.(check sheet)

 Sustain : In this stage we need to fallow & audit the implemented 5s technique.
